An EMDR, CBT, ACT and CFT therapist who’s ready for “it’s complicated”!
Helping people get unstuck - for nearly 30 years!
Hello, I’m Eleanor — a friendly, deep-thinking therapist with a passion for helping people reclaim inner authority and positive use of power across their multi-dimensional lives.
I first started volunteering alongside creative therapists age 13 four nights a week after school I loved it so much (niche I know). Since then I’ve spent a lifetime learning how to help people at courageous depth, in enjoyable ways, human to human.
I’m fascinated by ongoing training, research and study into all aspects of healing, growth and empowerment (no time for social media!). I’ll continue helping people help themselves across all life areas for as long as I can, and that means continual growth for me. Does this make me an expert? You decide.
I’ll equip you with specific methods and tools from the approaches I’ve trained in, in a way that feels right for you. With plenty of connection - and chuckles - along the way.
A key agent of healing and growth is having someone genuinely show up alongside us, with authentic presence and a big, strong heart.
When I’m not working, I’m out in nature or dancing with as many different styles as the therapies I’ve trained in. My oldest dance buddy spins me about on the dancefloor at age 92, and I’m here to help you achieve that kind of life long vitality, strength and enjoyment too.
CORE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
An embodied, holistic and relational approach to wellbeing
For nearly 30 years I’ve worked as a qualified therapist — still loving it! My core registrations are in EMDR, CBT and Occupational Therapy which work beautifully together to empower the people I work with across their personal, professional and relational lives.
I’ve trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Schema Therapy and various forms of “parts work” therapies such as Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). These shape how I help people move from anxiety, stress and isolation toward greater presence, connection and belonging — meeting themselves with self-collaboration and rather than self criticism and shame.
Through further specialist training in Attachment Focused EMDR, FAP and AEDP, I work at transformative relational depth. My aim is to help you heal interpersonal patterns and attachment anxiety, not only as an expert guide, but as a wholehearted and authentic companion. Alongside you.
